demmel products is proud to present its newest low-cost "Next Generation Intelligent LCD" panel at the Embedded World 2010 in Nuremberg, Germany.
The extremely compact color iLCD panel DPP-CTS2432 with a screen diagonal of 2.8" fits into every enclosure. Despite the small size it has a resolution of 240x320 pixel and is equipped with a touch screen. It can be operated in portrait mode as well as in landscape mode.
Also, a relaunch of the approved 3.5" display was performed. The PDA-sized DPP-CTP3224-2 Color iLCD panel contains the new fast 32-bit iLCD controller DPC3080 and is completely compatible to the previous model.
The size of the flash memory was extended to 32 MByte, the RAM comprises 8 MByte. A MicroSD card holder is on-board. The extended command set now supports multiple screens and viewports for all color iLCDs. Despite considerably extended functionality, the new model is available for less money and it is now available for order ex stock.
Color iLCD panels are now available in a wide range of formats from 2.8" to 10.2" (1024 x 600 pixel) and every model comes with the same set of commands and electrical connections. If necessary, iLCDs of different sizes can easily be swapped without having to modify either the hardware or software of the controlling application.

 demmel products performed a relaunch of its best selling "Next Generation Intelligent LCD" panel and now provides the new DPP-CT3224-2 with considerably enhanced functionality for less money.
The size of the flash memory was extended to 32 MByte, the RAM comprises 8 MByte. A MicroSD card holder is on-board.
The DPP-CT3224-2 is completely compatible with its predecessor DPP-CT3224-1 concerning mechanics, electrics and software.
The USB interface now gets along without any extra drivers. A version of the iLoader software compatible with the new hardware is available under: download iLoader.zip
The new firmware-version for the iLCD controller DPC3080 can be used with the existing 4.3", 7" and 10.2" iLCD panels as well. It complements the powerful command set with the following functions:
- MicroSD support for saving, loading and displaying files and graphics
- Viewports for customized segmentation of the display in screen areas
- Rotation of texts and graphics independent of the screen orientation
- Display of transparent graphics (static and animated)

 demmel products further expands its product portfolio of intelligent monochrome and colored LCD panels (iLCDs) with the new DPP-CT4827. The company’s unique panels now include a total of 5 different color iLCDs ranging from 3.5" to 10.2".
All models have the same set of commands and electrical connections. iLCDs of different sizes can easily be exchanged without having to modify either hardware or software of the controlling application.
A 32 MB flash memory is available to save fonts, graphics and macros and a micro SD cardholder can be used for future memory extensions. The iLCD panel can be controlled via USB, RS232, I2C or SPI using high-level commands. Any low-cost microcontroller included in the existing application can operate the iLCD.
An evaluation board is available for the new iLCD which can also be used for the recently introduced 7" and 10.2" iLCDs.

7" iLCD
and the
10.2" iLCD
panel at
Electronica 2008
.The trade fair will take place from November 11 to 14 where you can find us on
booth 145 in hall A3
as announced in our
press release.
The new 7“ and 10.2“ iLCD panels offer resolutions of 800x480 and 1024x600 pixels respectively. Both models are equipped with an LED backlight and designed for a 5 or an optional 3.3 volt power supply. 32 MB of flash memory are available for storing fonts, graphics and macros. The application can be further simplified by using the battery-buffered real time clock, interfaces for a keyboard matrix, a relay and a signalling device as well as additional digital and analog inputs and outputs.
The new iLCD models have all the features known from our innovative iLCD product
family; interchanging with other iLCD panels can be done easily.

. By sending a few bytes even complex screen layouts can be controlled then.

introduces its first color display in the well-established intelligent iLCD panel family at the Electronica 2006. Instead of manipulating individual pixels, the embedded iLCD controller provides a powerful, yet easy to learn high level command set. Support for rendering and aligning text with Windows fonts, displaying static and animated graphics, drawing borders and lines, and controlling the touch screen will dramatically reduce development time. Therefore, even complex screen layouts can be controlled by a 50 cent micro-controller, a PC, an embedded system, or an industrial control unit.
The 3.5" / 320x240 resolution panel measures 77x64x8 mm only. Up to 8 MB of flash memory for storing fonts, graphics, and macros supports even the most complex applications. The single 5 Volt iLCD panel provides USB, RS232, I2C or SPI, a keyboard matrix with up to 128 keys, digital and analog I/Os, relays, a sound transducer, as well as a battery backed real-time clock.
An easy-to-use Windows-based configuration editor is available for free; there is no need to learn a programming language.
